I Am A ZombieA Poem by Laura HarrisonI survive on
two hours sleep a night, waking up
with giant bags under my eyes. My skin
looks sunken and sallow as if I
never see daylight and I have
no idea what I’m doing half of the time. I scare
people wherever I go with my
terrifying features that look
like something out of a horror show.
As I stumble
into bed at three in the morning, with arms
outstretched to keep me from falling; I get a
sudden thought without any warning, a thought
that gets alarm bells ringing… I am a
zombie, the walking undead what else
would explain these things that I’ve said? I am a
zombie So now that
you know: Load your
weapons, shoot me now © 2014 Laura Harrison |
