Clean Your Mess

Clean Your Mess

A Poem by Laura Harrison
"

I took the saying "I was left to clean up the mess you left behind" (after a break-up" and made it literal.

"

You know how much I hate a messy house

So if you ever break my heart

Be sure to pick up the shattered pieces before you leave

And dispose of them so that I don’t trip over

Now get the vacuum out to get rid of the tiny pieces

And lastly, you’d better use some carpet cleaner

Because there’ll be hell to pay if my Venetian rug gets stained!

Oh, and one more thing before you walk out that door

Make sure your dishes are washed from the night before.
