Exploring Your BodyA Poem by Laura HarrisonI never used
to be interested in exploring; but when I
saw your body for the first time, I memorized
every contour like a captain knows every inch of his ship. I know every
mole and freckle on your pale skin; Each one
more perfect than the last, that they
make the stars looks like mere specks of dust.
There is
something captivating about the
way your stomach dips in like an ocean wave every time I kiss the scar on your chest that you got
from when an ex stabbed you with a screwdriver and I adore
how your eyes light up like a flame when I tell
you that I want to take my exploration one step further and make
love to you.
When we
collide, your body
feels like the missing piece to mine and I wish
that I could have your skin pressed against me until the
end of time.
Your body is
a book that I have
read from cover to cover; staining the
pages with my touch along the way. © 2014 Laura HarrisonReviews
