I Saw An Angel

I saw an angel last night

She said it was time for me to go

But first, she took my hand and led me to the past,

Showed me a movie of the life that I just had.

I watched the whole thing with tears in my eyes

And when it had ended,

She asked me why.

I told her that my life had been a failure just like me

And that I never got to live the dream that I always wanted.

The angel looked at me with wisdom in her eyes

And replied;

“Life can be difficult sometimes but failure is a lesson

And sometimes the dream you want isn’t always the one you need.

You lived your whole life a charismatic and caring person.

You had a faithful, loving husband,

Friends that never betrayed you

And two wonderful children that adored you.

I think that God granted you with a better life than the one you had planned.”

She then bade me farewell and went on her way

And I waited in the hospital bed for the light to take me.

When it finally came and brought me to Heaven-

I was smiling.

Glad that there is realization after all. Life is so beautiful. Whatever pain we had in the past...whether we had been walking in the dark...we can still walk in the light and be happy. Remember, there are only 2 sides of life: the light and the dark side. Everything don't stay forever...so every pain don't stay forever...
