I Dreamed Of A LandA Poem by Laura HarrisonI dreamed of a land free of suffering Where war and murder don’t exist Where children can sleep safely at night And nobody raises a fist
I dreamed of a land full of promises That are never bent or broken Where secrets are kept and cherished Not one single secret spoken
I dreamed of a land of equality Where every single person unites Where everyone can proudly be who they are And nobody different has to hide
I dreamed of a land filled with all things good Like people with warm, kind hearts Where no vicious words snake out of their lips And nobody tears each other apart
I dreamed of a land that was perfect But then I opened my eyes To the land home to hell and demons The place where evil resides © 2013 Laura HarrisonReviews
