The WorriersA Story by Laura HarrisonA few weeks ago, my dad found a lump on his neck And out of all of the things that it could have been, I instantly worried in case it was throat cancer. I think that as a human race, everyone worries too much and automatically assumes the worst about everything. We worry that eating a slice of pizza will make us gain a pound or that we will never find the love of our life. We worry about getting into college or getting a job. We worry about the future. But if we worry about things too much, it stops us from living our life. The thing that we are worrying about is always in the back of our minds, festering away and slowly making us go insane. So we should eat that slice of pizza because one more pound isn’t going to make us so fat that we can’t get out of the door, And maybe we haven’t found the love of our life yet because it isn’t the right time, but they will come into our lives when we least expect it. And if we work hard enough, we can easily get into our dream college or get the job that we want. And about my dad, his test results arrived back from the hospital yesterday, The lump on his neck just turned out to be a swollen gland. © 2013 Laura HarrisonReviews
