Labyrinth of Life

I am lost;

All of my days have been spent wandering through this labyrinth of life,

Searching for myself

I look in the mirror and I don’t recognize the person staring back at me

All I see is a distant hologram of the girl that I long to be.

 

My own hometown is now a stranger;

All of my friends have grown up and moved on

I look at the world around me and it just feels wrong

All I want is to find where I truly belong

 

When I told you all of this;

You said that you would walk with me through this labyrinth of life,

Hand in hand

And together we would find the Promised Land

This flows very well, seems the writer is asking questions of self in both the present and future; appears lost, hopeless. God willing there's an answer either via careful thinking or guidance. from someone or somewhere. Tis sad, tis also a depressing place to be in - although that's assuming this is based on truth, not a writer's imagination. Tis written well enough to be either.

I don't see why it would be offensive to be honest; at the end of the day, grammar and spelling are important if you're a writer :)

Have you not read some of the people who don't like you to correct their grammar or spelling? I try to avoid comment on those.
