Do Not Look For MeA Poem by Laura HarrisonWhen I die, Do not look for me at the bottom of an empty bottle; Or mourn for me on the barstools of shady back-street bars. You will not find me haunting our favourite spot to watch the sunset So don’t go looking for me there. Don’t stay awake all night hoping to find me standing at the bottom of our bed And don’t try to chase me in your dreams. Do not stand at my headstone and weep- As my soul will not be withering away underneath the dirt and soil. Don’t go trying to keep me alive by playing memories of me For your mind will always replay the day I pass away. When I die, Don’t you dare search for me behind the pearly gates of Heaven… Because I will always reside in your heart. © 2013 Laura HarrisonReviews
