When You Feel Like Giving UpA Poem by Laura HarrisonLife is a
road with so many speed bumps on it that it will make you want to throw up. It is that
b***h that kicks you down again when you have only just dusted yourself off the
ground. But there is
a reason why it is called ‘life.’ Because you
are supposed to live it. So when you
feel like giving up, remember that there are still books you haven’t read and
songs you haven’t heard. There are
still places you have never seen and people that you have never met. And there is
your dream waiting at the end of the rainbow for you.
Life can
make you feel lonely sometimes. It can make
you feel like the only person in the world who isn’t loved. But if you
only looked over your shoulder, you would see all the people who care about you
are one step behind you. So when you
feel like giving up, remember that you may be lonely, but you are never alone.
Life is a
ladder, and you have to see every day to climb to the top of it. You have to
believe that tomorrow is guaranteed and that it won’t always be the same as yesterday. So when you
feel like giving up, remember that this is not the end And that the
light at the end of the tunnel may sometimes be just a train, but one day, it
won’t be.
Life is a
miracle. There are
over 7,000 atoms in your body that emit light but never die out So why
should you? When you
feel like giving up, don’t. © 2013 Laura HarrisonReviews
