To The Bullies In The Playground

To The Bullies In The Playground

A Poem by Laura Harrison

I still remember all the hurtful things you said to me like it was yesterday

I remember everyone laughing along with you when you called me fat

And that time you pushed me into the wall when I was walking into class

I remember how you said that I would end up with a job at McDonalds

Yet it is you I see working behind the counter now

So thank you for making me feel worthless

Because it has made me a stronger and better person today

Thank you for all the mean things you said to me

Because it made me realize that I never want to be like you

But most of all,

Thank you for telling me that I will never amount to anything

Because I did.

Awesome poem i must say! Bullying is an awful thing people do now a days and i wish it would stop! But very powerful poem. Its true what you say though, sometimes people telling you that you cant do something is the greatest drive and motivation there is ! Job well done with this !
