Leave The Past

Everyone wishes that they could change things in their past

That they had said the right things before the moment passed

We torment ourselves over what could have been

But whatever is meant to be, will be

 

We cannot erase what has already gone

We need to let things go and move on

People make mistakes all the time

But we need to realise that this is fine

 

We cannot right all of our wrongs

We need to leave the past where it belongs

Life is such a precious gift

Life goes on and we need to live

 

So forget about the past, live in the moment

You made some bad decisions, but your life is not broken

Love your life and enjoy it while you can

Because when all is said and done- you only get one
