The Red Man (Den Røde Mand)A Poem by LauraEmilieA poem I wrote a few years ago. The original language is Danish and I include it below the translated version. The Red Man I walk through the gate, and on the street, stool lay I say “hi” to the sweeper I know so well, and set out on my little journey I walk to the road and stop. The red man on the other side stands so still In a glimpse he disappears, while his green brother takes his place Many walk, but I am still For between the crowd is a blue dot I see a yellow van race by, And at last I can walk But alas, the red man stands still yet again Den Røde Mand Jeg går ud af min port,
mens hans grønne bror tager hans plads Mange går over, men jeg
