Faces

Faces

A Poem by Laura3841

Faces around me

Staring

Some cold,

Some welcoming,

All judgmental

Eyes that look me over

Reading me

Scoping me out

Is she good enough?

Mouths talking

Gossip

Chat, chat, chat

What does she look like?

Thousands of faces, eyes and mouths

controlling me as a puppet on a string

I walk with my head hung low

I love how you wrote the sentences and cut them off giving more of a powerful speech and meaning! I thought of school but this can go for anywhere you go, I love the way you pieced it together, nicely done!

Thank you again so much!
Its amazing how powerful judgments can be but they should never decrease your confident some people would only want to hurt you with their looks and most of them are not worth the pain if not all
Great job and very enjoyable

Good job. Being judgmental of others says more about the person doing the judging than the ones they are criticizing.

Thank you for your kind words
There will always be those who judge and those who feel they don't meet expectations because of it, but to me everyone is who they are and we should be good with that. No one should have to hang their head because of anyone but themselves. Very nice.

how very sad but true.Often times been at the receiving end and your poem captures the feeling. Yes, you have to tell yourself to not take it to heart and to let it be.

That is so true. One of the many lessons we learn in life. Thank you!
I believe we gain wisdom when we don't give a damn about the opinions of others. The poem had a realistic feel. A sad world when people look for the weaknesses. Not the goo pieces of us. You told a sad tale in the excellent poetry.
