Some say the world will fall to it's knees if you work hard enough. Others say life is just another word for death. I can say neither are true as I stare into the small mirror that I've held dear for all my life barely swaying in the harsh winds being pulled by my own heart towards the black cold chasm. In a place full of white sand and sun the cold chasm is something I used to fear. Now as I look at myself in the mirror clothes in tatters and shreds, jewelry nowhere to be seen and even though I've left my weapons in her care, my only hope is my daughter does not follow the warrior's path for a domestic life surely promised less betrayal and loss of hope. As I step in the inky cold embrace of the chasm that I have always feared, my mirror shattering from the force of the wind the heat that has seared my bones slowly leaving. I do not fight Death's cold bony fingers prying my life from Kali to his garden of souls known only to the world as Shreiklaave Death's den of shadows rather greeting them with a hug and a smile as though it is a request for a dinner companion just as I bid farewell to those still alive and to my life and love, My sweet Amai, to greet those who have been lost only wishing for my wish to be fulfilled.
