I Love You, But...

I Love You, But...

A Poem by Latoria Sheppard
"

I think everyone has that one person, if you don't then you're that person...

"

I love you but you stupid because you cannot see my passion

I love you but you're cruel because you have no sense of fashion

You beat me, you break me and still I come back for more

I cannot seem to walk out our wooden bedroom door

I love you but I cannot keep this going on alone

I love you but you hurt me and I'm not here for a song

You gave me heartache and the flutters all at once

Can you not see this heart of my reaching for your hand.

Just hold it not crush it and make it part of the band.

I love you but you stupid because I cannot make you see

The love I have for you is locked in chains to be

More than a puppet, more than a scar, my love for you is to show you who will go to war.

I love you but you stupid and I cannot make you see,

The things I can give you can set both if us free!
