Shopping Trolley

Mmmmmm?

In Rochdale canal
there’s a bike and some knickers
a dead floating pike
and some rude bumper stickers
an umbrella that’s left with only its frame
a deflated football that’s retired from the game
an unlaced shoe and one left hand glove
a broke barbecue
that could do with some love
some green plastic chairs and one leg off a table
the sheathing from around some old copper cable
a dumped Christmas reef that’s as brown as dead holly
and some old false teeth
in a dumped shopping trolley.
