Each Night I Sail An OceanA Poem by Lathen Griffiths
Silken strands of sleep
suspend these soft unwoven dreams, nestled safe in slumber floating on unconscious streams, come evening, a little boat departs amidst moonbeams. The winds that blow eternal fill the sails that push it on, celestial or infernal are the waves it rolls upon, this weathered boat I cling to, come my waking, will be gone. For each night I sail an ocean that’s both endless and finite, adrift amidst the darkness lost within the spell of night, until my eyes reopen to be blessed by morning light. © 2023 Lathen GriffithsReviews
