There’s a puddle full of stars,
on a verge made of mud,
next to a road,
that leads all the way home,
but if I stop to stare,
at a puddle full of stars,
then which way from there,
will I roam?
If my eyes look out,
on an ocean so vast,
yet are betwixt
the sand and the foam,
should I maybe now,
my anchor cast,
for which way from there
will I roam?
Who could not appreciate the beauty of stars in a dark velvet sky,? I love that they were reflected in a muddy puddle by the side of the road. I think it would be very easy to anchor where there is sea, sand and a great expanse of star studded sky. Sounds perfick to me. Visually stunning Lathe. Happy Friday.

poetic journeys like this are beautiful, I never map a journey, how boring is that? just go and you will find what you didn't know what you were looking for. :) Loved it
a star led three wise men on a journey....a metaphorical puddle of stars can lead us on a journey...
shall we pull up anchor and cross that ocean of life?
take a chance the sail will hold, and our inner compass will work well enough to guide us.
Those stars certainly know the way.

A magical piece of poetry Lathen. Seems we both were inspired by all the beautiful stars in the sky. I had wrote a haiku on it. Two poetic minds separated by an ocean yet viewing the wonder of the same heavenly body above. That is the wonder of poetry, my friend.
I was picturing the vastness of space reflected within that first glance and the traveler stalled for direction. Till he gazes up to see little bear pointing the way.
“Sometimes when I’m sleeping my mind writes poetry,
sometimes when I’m awake
I remember what it’s written.”
