As The Summer Gets ColderA Poem by J.K.P.My boyfriend and I will be going to different colleges this fall, and we're hoping that our love transcends all obstacles.
As the summer gets colder I fill empty boxes with memories. Strange how my life can fit into 1,728 cubic inches of space.
The many untidy, folded letters proclaiming your love, the cards you meticulously picked, the pictures of our grinning faces, oblivious to everything but each other.
Time and distance will be our greatest adversary, tying knots in the thin threads that connect our souls.
Will we be able to untangle them? © 2009 J.K.P.Author's Note
