The unfortunate ones.

The unfortunate ones.

A Poem by Steve(:
"

Something that annoys me...

"
I was in history one day,
At a school where most people were upper middle class.
My teacher had just announced we had to start to pay $0.10 for each worksheet we did,
Or get a zero.
That made me upset, my parents were both unemployed at the moment,
But I knew somehow they could pay it off.
That was when a girl across the room, burst into tears,
Saying she hadn't eaten lunch for 2 weeks.
How could she afford this???
The teacher hushed the students worried voices,
And took her outside, only for both of them to walk in laughing a minute later,
Telling us it was a JOKE.
Because a kid not having enough money for lunch is funny.
No. it's not.
It never has been.
It never will.
It's so sick to see jokes like this,
Because, maybe someone actually was sitting in that room sometime,
Who actually didn't have money for lunch.
But didn't say anything.
Nothing at all..
