to whisper "i love you"

to the wind

so that it catches in the storm.

you know its so damn hot outside.

the inevitable is coming.

it's change.

 

the strings stretch and snap

and i put new ones on

while i gaze out the window

into the beyond

god i cant wait to get out of this town.

 

and i just want

to say out loud "I Love You" to the sun

that is beaming down all around.

 

my eyes are closed at 2pm still

hungover with thoughts from the night before.

man i have nothing but contempt for that girl.

when will she get it that i

just dont care when she opens her mouth.

 

cant i just shout

"I LOVE YOU" to all the birds

and shake up those soaring messengers.

 

and there we are in perfect disarray

i'm jumping puddles

while the rain comes down.

and you know i love you.
