just stay quiet

quiet and still

still like that saying

what is it-

"quiet as church mice"?

rolling the dice

to see if i should stay or go

 

gliding along that board

across the spaces set in stone

indeterminate- should i stay or should i go

imperfect visions, silence is my voice

i dont want to, but i cry.

 

"youre always the victim

always playing the victim.

and youre just like everyone else

you always let me down"

those words burn the smile off my face

and bid it never to return

makes those promises i know will NEVER be kept.

 

and the worst part is

that everyone bustles about

as if.... nothing happened

 

so i'll just stay quiet here.

quiet and still.
