Celestial DanceA Poem by C.R. Moore "Lasla"Dedicated to the stars !In the starry velvety cloak of night A carousal poised high in the night sky filled with celestial bodies of long ago This is where they take their permeant humble abode traveling high above for all to see. Polaris the keeper of stars lives high in the Northern sky Guarding them in their starry abode on his carousel of stars. Cepheus and Cassiopeia rest in their place on the great sphere of stars A punishment for their treachery and vanity infringing upon man and the Gods. Their daughter Andromeda dances in the heavens shining bright for all to see her wonders on the earth every starry night if the season is right. Freed from her bondage to the rock at the oceans crest A gift of sacrifice to Poseidon for his pleasure and will to do as he saw fit until her lover found her chained beside the ocean shore. Riding high and mighty ever so gallantly on his great winged white steed Pegasus. Fatigued and tattered from fighting a fierce battle a gushing victory gave him the immortal gift bestowed by the gods. The love of his life was trapped and offered for sacrifice Pegasus rose with a great fury and charged with lighting flashes from his hooves and storms from the nostrils. They charge to his masters lovers side she is freed at last to be with her beloved in a house filled with stars ruling the night sky with her family and her beloved. Circling the celestial pole each night in a circle of love with her family always in tow for everyone to see. Copyright Lasla Moore 2010 © 2010 C.R. Moore "Lasla"Featured Review
