In the Arms of Delirium

In the Arms of Delirium

A Poem by C.R. Moore "Lasla"
"

A poem about love, death, freedom, and setting our souls free by the acts of love and also through death .This poem can have many meanings depends on how you view it!

"

In the arms of delirium
My heart is stone cold
Ice forms in my soul
My mind is restless but frozen’
In time
Tides of Happiness
Crash upon the shore s of my memory
Bringing the suns warming light
casting  life giving rays upon my soul
The ice fades and recedes
into the oblivion  abyss of love
Inviting death to its corner stone
Love holds the key to the frozen castle doors
where our hearts once resided in a warm loving
invitation to a life had I only dreamed
Of
Now I lay in this stone fortress
I call my heart
Searching for the key
Unlock the door
 Free my weary soul
May it soar among the clouds
Long and day s go by
I can only see your smile
I soar into the abyss
My soul is free
From above
I see the fortress
Stone cold and resting
a veil drapes in gold
I am free
I seek you
I want to be free with you
in the arms of delirium

This is an amazing poem!
I give you a standing ovation for the imagery, progressions beautiful choice of words.
From the beginning it swiftly takes the reader on a ride that immediately changes the way our senses behave on earth allowing our minds a moment where we can feel, comprehend and interpret something else.
I admire you as a writer because a love poem should be much more than cliche pickup lines, mere physical observations and predictable expressions and you my friend proved that and also showed how a love poem should sound.

A truly avant-garde and wonderfully carved out write!
