In Love with Two

In Love with Two

A Poem by C.R. Moore "Lasla"

I see your silhouettes there

In the windows of my heart

Looking thru my soul

I know they are beside me twice

Kissing me twice

Twice the pleasures

Twice the sensations

Warming me inside with

Intoxicating love

Making my soul giddy

Letting it take flight

Fluttering like a butterfly

Over the flowers blossom

Drinking its nectars

My soul soars

Churning and grinding

I feel our love grow

Stronger and deeper

Spinning a silky web

Spun for three

Into the inner-most parts of my soul

Searching for words to say

Into an empty universe

I cannot find any language

That exists in the silent language of

Love

The words that would express

My depth of devotion and love to them

These words I say

From inside the man

Whose heart you possess

His heart filled with passion

For the two he loves

Rare and true

Passion, love and soul-mates

In love with two

This was beautifully written; the flow, the words, the descriptions all were magnifique. I do have to say, however, that I can look at this piece from two points of view. One being what Donald Miekle wrote, that it seemed like a poem about menage a trois, for it does seem sensual and passionate in that manner. However, I could also see this being about the devotion of a person who is torn between two lovers, having great and strong emotions for both; the sensual metaphors a way of expressing his love. I suppose, however, that good poetry leaves it to the mind of the reader to decide what the poem is about, and multiple concepts will always keep the mind guessing every time it is read. Bravi.

I can,t make my mind up if you are writing about 3 people together..all in love...or being in love with 2 different women. The second would be a huge secret and the first obviously not !! Whatever...either way..I love it. Thank you for sharing.

I love the flow and its written so wonderfully. I can totally understand, I've been there myself. Something I could never share with anyone ... Thanks for sharing this beautiful poem ...

Thoughts of polyamory have coursed though my head but but I'm not the one who's heart is torn. Another woman may be out there who've I've never met and who I suspect my existance is kept from. I'd gladly meet to see if we three could get along - alas, my lover secrets me away from the rest of her life entirely. As such, it's not so much the potential of jealousy from the one who seems to own a piece of my lover's heart (be it larger portion than she has given me ... or not) that pains me. It's the decision of my lover to keep me a secret and the growing absense of her presense in my life. Having just read what I put down ... I must be in denial that it's over. Or maybe that denial has just ended, finally.

Back to polyamory, though. I believe I've discovered I can .... IF the love is equally shared. A somewhat startling revelation for this heterosexual guy who grew up in a small town enviroment where nothing of that nature *seemed* to exist.

I do believe it is possible to love two people at the same time although it plays havoc on the heart. The complications are endless especially if the others are in love with only you which means twice the pain. What you describe is a beautiful fantasy.

Spun for three

What an image Lasla! I guess life teaches us that true love is meant for two, yet I become irresistably lost in your words...

I like the theme of duplicity that you turn into a three-fold love - I also like the binary rythm (Twice the pleasures/Twice the sensations; Stronger and deeper; Rare and true...)... But I especially love those lines:
Spinning a silky web
Spun for three
The sound of those lines (s, th) is wonderful, like a whisper...

I really like the metaphors that you have used to describe the vigor of love with such a gentle flow. Beautifully written with the passion from withing you! ~ Jude :-)
