The Sands of Love

The Sands of Love

A Poem by C.R. Moore "Lasla"

Into your eyes

I have looked

intently watching

Deep blue oceans swelling

With the emotions from

the depths of your soul

As we have hearts that

need to be mended

feeling all the love

we had given before

was betrayed by another

Finding new refuge in

each others eyes

A glass heart

intertwined with thee

A new love begins to grow

Confusing, scary but exciting and grand

The sands of time staring at the door

The essence of love was not found

until we looked into each other's eyes

In them

I feel your pain

I feel your joy

Your sadness

Your love

Your desires

Your dreams

Your path

Your soul

Your purpose

Your distance

As our hearts minds race back once again

Old fears came trying to creep in

As we go forward new truths

Were known and new love was found

A bond we share from the depths

Our souls have found new love

which is starting to grow

Friends and so much more

We three have had loves gone wrong

And that pain resides within our

Hearts chamber doors slowly

Fading but not before it has

Great pain to withdraw leaving

Us empty but with a flame

To bare a new love to share.

The universe brought us together

In this time and space

For a purpose and a reason

For real love and healing

To begin a path anew

A time of healing and growth

What does the future hold?

This we do not know

How could we know

What reality the future holds

Embrace the day as if it was the last

Take comfort in the love we have found

And take it openly into our hearts

Make it a love profound and to last

Tomorrow we may never

know what the day will hold

But I know that for now

our love is the right road
And Love is to share and bare

the hearts smile for

all to adore within our soul

What I like about this poem is the maturity of the feelijngs behind the words; ironic, as if a heart was waiting to be known, already discovered, behind a mask; so then, it seems that as you were writing this, recapturing the love that was always there and never went away and only grew stronger with each passing day, you bonded with your own emotions, welcoming them all, no matter the joys or pains of them, so then, as your emotions grew, as the love grew, as your words on this page grew,
so did you.

nicely done, Lasla. to be able to follow your heart and your feelings are very prominent in this write. it is true that no matter the past pains and disillusionment, there is always something better out there to alleviate that pain as long as you let it happen....not worrying what the future holds, to live in the now and be thankful for the love that you have found is what it is all about.
