Beacon of Hope

Beacon of Hope

A Poem by Lashanna

Her tears made her eyes so bright like a beacon of hope,

This hope came from the clouds in the sky, it helped her cope,

She'd wipe them away to convey a happy look,

It worked so well on everyone it was all it took.

Nothing could take away the pain she hid,

It would only disappear by the things he did,

This boy had a way of swaying her thoughts in a positive direction,

His words she had in her mind like a precious jewelry collection.

His smile made the clouds seem to scurry,

It made the happiness seem less blurry,

This boy came and entered her life,

It cut away the depression like a long, sharp knife.
