My late sons birthday

My late sons birthday

A Story by Larry Boone

Shawn Paul Virgil Boone. He'd be 16 today.

RIP son. Your passing changed my perspective on everything. You helped your dad catch freedom in his mind.

Everyone has purpose. Love the people God brought into your life.
Keep evolving. Never give up.
Find joy in today's moments. Yesterday is over. Tomorrow Will care for itself. Today is the time to change your tomorrow and learn from your yesterday.
Seek after peace. Time is to short to be stuck on ugly thoughts. By the time you make amends you'll realize you missed the chance to create so many memories. Don't fill your headspace with regrets. But protect yourselves from others disturbing your peace.
Remember that were all human. Everyone feels pain. Learn from it. Get up. Brush those knees off and get back at it till you got it right.
Be gentle with each other. A teaching hand is a gentle hand. Everyone deserves to feel loved. We all need that. We're social creatures. The Value of affection is priceless.
Always look to do what's right and honest. It's important to be able to look in the mirror and see a person looking back at you that you can respect. Your physical well being depends on it.
Have faith in yourself. Faith in God. Never hold people to high expectations. Realize where theyre at and put your faith in God. Man Will let you down. God won't. We don't understand all of his ways. It's not for us to. But we can understand that we can't control everything. Some things we need to release to a higher power. Faith is like a shield for you.
Remember to humble yourselves. The person that hardens his neck will be utterly destroyed. With no avail. Puzzles come together much more efficiently if your not trying to force the pieces in place. The humble person is a teachable person. We learn everyday.
And finally be aware of your emotional out put. You get back what you put out. Plant seeds that will reap the harvest you need to sustain you. A simple smile can move a metaphorical mountain. Aggression can win the moment. But it's assertiveness that wins the day. Be in control of you and you'll know the right moment to behave in the most efficient manner.
Peace. FREEDOM!
Just my thoughts as I'm missing the smiles I never saw.
I'm thankful God allowed me to be his father. Even if it was just for a moment.
