The Voices in the Wind

The Voices in the Wind

A Poem by Whiskurz

A presence follows the moon tonight
As the wind tortures the trees
Screams, trapped in yesterday's arms
Can be heard invading the breeze
Tired memories of forgotten pasts
Held captive by the winds
Not caring where they're going to
Not knowing where it ends
Their voices sounding familiar at first
Like haunting recognitions
But the trees can see what we cannot
These devilish apparitions
Nothing more, than whispering death
Cursing their broken dreams
Ancient phantoms, of life long gone
Filled with hollow screams
A presence follows the moon tonight
As the darkness starts to descend
For death itself is trying to speak
Through the voices in the wind

Some are haunted till last breath .. .. And all the devils that ever were, travel in the wind as a curse .. ..

Very Good ! .. .. J.
