The Tissue

The Tissue

A Poem by Whiskurz

Today I found a broken heart
In a tissue tossed on the ground
The tears it wiped were silent
The pain, without the sound
This tissue had a story to tell
Wrapped up in all its tears
A silent ending, a final goodbye
A silence that no one hears
I watched her wipe her bloodshot eyes
Her memories on her cheek
I'm sure they had a story to tell
But their voices were much too weak
And everytime the tissue fell
So did pieces of her past
Just another piece of broken love
That wasn't meant to last
Her tissue holds her secrets
Of a love she's known for years
But now discarded forevermore
In the tissue that holds her tears

Very good topic. You presented it to make me feel like I was there. I also thought that you had a pretty good conclusion. Also, it had amazing flow. Great job and this made it past the first cut in the contest.
