Broken Words

Broken Words

A Poem by Whiskurz

Poets write with inspiration
While mending their broken words
They can shape them into beautiful things
Like the flowers or the birds
Some are shaped like teardrops
Sitting on sorrow's face
Others are shaped like the scars of life
That the poet tries to erase
They bend their words to meet their needs
Whatever that need might be
For some are shaped like little hearts
And others like misery
The broken words can't hold their shapes
Without the poet's touch
The poet bends 'til they finally break
But it doesn't hurt them much
The words that break are the special kind
Out of all the words that bend
For until the words are finally broken
The poet can't write the end
