You entered this in my "Deep" contest and after I read it, I just felt the need to review it, so I searched it (went through quite a few pages) and finally found it.
I was reading along, kind of bored at first like, yeah, yeah, her mom died, big whoop, I've read a lot of poems like that and then... BAM. "What does abortion mean?" My heart literally stopped, I'm not kidding. I kind of froze for a minute. This poem has all the means to be average, all the means to just be boring, and then you get to the last stanza and you practically want to give you a standing ovation.
I'm not against abortion, I'm not for it either, I think it's a choice, and it's sad, but the baby's life could have ended up being worse than death with a 15 year old mom who's parents have shunned her or something. Sometimes I think it's the better choice.
But this. I've read maybe two other poems from the baby's point of view about abortion, and none really stuck with me, I can't remember them, but this I think will ring in my ears a lot. This is so amazing, I'm just babbling here, KEEP WRITING! You're good.

Dude, my contest was over 2 months ago, if you search 'Deep' and then change the setting to completed contests, go to the second page, I am the sixth one down.
I would never take credit for someone else's work. Some guy did that to me about a week ago, but he changed it to something awful and pornographic and it made me cry, it feels awful to have something of yours stolen, I'd never do that.
And next time change the status to 'Completed', because its set on Active.

I totally agree with Sophie, this is a unique poem like none other.
It states the feelings and innocent thoughts of this child.

And yes, the last line made me read it all over again.

Oh My Gosh! That was SO SAD! But I really loved it! I loved how you kept using the line "Mama, where did you go?" in every stanza! And I really loved the last lines "Tell me mama, I don't understand. What does abortion mean?" Very deep

Oh my god! The first few stanzas I though the mother died or ran away, but then when I read the last line, I stopped dead. Literally. When I realised that the baby died and not the mother. Everything came together. Wow! A brilliant poem! Keep writing!
