![]() Scattered LeavesA Poem by WhiskurzBeneath the autumn leaves lies a secret Buried, underneath an old oak tree A woman, for some time, gone missing Now, just part of the scenery A child of seventeen years, now silent No marker, to show where she lay She's been gone now, for more than a season A sad story always ends this way She cries out from her grave of sorrows That one day, her body might be found A rose decorates her shallow grave With scattered leaves blowing on the ground A victim of a crime, with no witness Just another drug deal gone bad She was only passing by when it happened But she saw things, she probably shouldn't had So if you're ever passing by an oak tree And underneath, you see a single rose Remember what's beneath the scattered leaves A secret, where a single flower grows
