Beyond the path of no return
Beside the lake of tears
Are things we lack and can't get back
Trapped for what seem like years

Scattered as far as the eye can see
Are miles and miles of trust
And tiny parts of broken hearts
Stolen away by lust

Smiles now litter the many fields
Where they've been trodden down
Abused by blame they're not the same
For they've turned into a frown

Hopes and dreams turned orphans
With no place to call their home
Cast aside many have died
While others are cursed to roam

You can't get back from where you came
After the things you learn
It only gets worse, you're stuck with the curse
