The Poet's Wedding

Tonight a wedding is taking place
I'm going to marry my muse
She promised to always be by my side
An offer I couldn't refuse

She's dressed in every kind of word
The kind that gives me a voice
They'll sing the songs of inspiration
The words of course her choice

We even wrote our wedding vows
She tells me what to say
She's chosen some very special words
On our very special day

Writer's block was not invited
In case he wants to object
She says he doesn't bother her
It's me she wants to protect

I'm sending you my invitations
I hope you don't refuse
You're all invited to come and watch
The poet marry his muse
