Darkness

A little something I wrote off top of my head about my feelings and such

It surrounds us and cloaks us,

hidden from their view. I watch on.

I watch you as you go by day after day,

living your life as mine drifts away.

One word barely leaves my mouth

before I regret ever speaking up.

The memory will never die and the fear never leaves,

I only want us together

but it will never be.

So the Darkness closes in

and I do nothing to stop it;

Why should I when there is nothing left

my life is nothing but an echo

in the Darkness of the world
