Fire and Frustration

Fire and Frustration

#1

It's red and orange and coloured generosity
It's sinuously smooth and torn twisted tyranny
It dictates its victims every move and guides them to their fate
It closes this door and that one, no window of escape.

It's sometimes silent but mostly oscillates
Between quiet hisses and loud cackles of hate
It's internalized in this one
And on exhibition in another
It works its way through home after home
Claiming father and mother and brother.

Unyielding, unkind
Its released energy unwinds
Unstoppable immovable
It claims this heart of mine.

Yay - i get to review your first, first. Love the rhyme and rhythm, the ongoing metaphor. As well as the anger and irritation which is almost tangible in the elegant phrasing. Good work B :-) xx
