To sierraA Poem by LankySierra wrote me a letter for one of her projects (write a letter to your best friend) So in return I wrote her a poem
The sun rises in the sky
and is laid to rest in the west then like a lonely ghost the moon traces its path in the sky time ticks by so encroachingly fast Fleeting like the darkness at the break of dawn yet with each day that passes i know one thing for sure there is a person i know to who I can pour out my soul an ally when all others abandon my cause a friend who listens to my words and heeds their wise advice. someone to talk to when i need it most our friendship is a stone bulwark worn and battered from the tides of time yet these stone walls hold as the legions of trials and tribulations clash upon its walls and are repelled back to the hell from which those problems sprung and still the stone walls stand unyielding to force or time a constant, a forever this friendship of yours and mine tested, never bested, and always true I am the one who will forever stand up, right beside you When you yourself cannot stand I will hold you up When you can go no further I will force you on When time wears us down and our countdown approaches zero We shall say NO! and make one last stand, for true friendship is a rarity, a treasure the most simple form of love the product of a connection for which no words come to mind which can do justice to this friendship You and I But one thing is for sure This grows stronger with each passing day and i'm intrigued to see where we stand after time has taken its toll when fleeting moments have passed will you still be close enough to grab my extended hand? Oh my dear sierra, I do hope so.
