That phone call

That phone call

A Poem by Lanky
"

This is a poem about watching a friend suffer at the hands of someone who she loved... someone who only wanted her body, and my idiotic cowardice.

"

The phone at your side rings

in response your body sings

once again he's called

and it happens just like before

seconds of carnal pleasure.

days of tragic pain.

feeling so empty, so lonely.

your heart as cold,

as the falling freezing rain.

your heart lies broken

your feelings crushed.

spending hours staring,

at that spot on the floor.

your life has become,

an overt sexual metophore,

and whats worse?

I sat back and watched,

as he treated you like,

his own personal w***e.

Im sorry my friend,

i failed to save you,

from the pain that grips your heart.

I was a coward

i was an a*s

I could have saved you...

This is a good piece of art here. I am sorry about the trouble that made you write this.
