Your hurtful game

Your hurtful game

A Poem by Lanky
"

A poem to an exgirlfriend... the kind that made me promise not to seek the girl i now love

"

you said you loved me

but our faux love was child like

unable to focus on anything

unable to make it last

it was fleeting

and probably never even there

but still i cared for you

even after i found out,

you were playing me

I was a game to you

The girl you pretended to be

she was perfect

and she was real

you modeled yourself

after someone i could love

but you made a mistake

you introduced us

It was then that all your lies

began to crumble

the walls you built between

emotion and reason

caught fire

burned to ash

Then i saw you

for who you truely were

The promises i made you

faded from my mind

like a glowstick

carried from the dark

into the bright sunlight

I could no longer see

what made you special

because what made me love you

was a false and utter lie

so see now the pages that i tore

straight from the very heart of me

That was amazing. This exemplifies the flowing style of yours that makes me enjoy and relate to your writing. I have felt this way many times in the past. You are an excellent writer.

I really like it! I like your real and true emotion. I'm sorry, (even though I didn't do this to you) and I have known this pain also. Hope you the best!!!
