Sticky Honey Bee

Sticky Honey Bee

A Poem by Lane C

the bee is put to shame
caught her wing in sticky honey
struggling to breath struggling to perceive
wounded as she buzz buzz buzzes

her credence stolen from under her
taken by a wasp how mighty
turned red and wet

the other bees fly by
hearing her cry

stuck in her own creation
she must lay there with her fate
face her mistake

she must lift her wings
and fly away

she must wipe off the honey
and never return to this wasp so funny
