Disguised

Disguised

A Poem by Lane C

I’ve crashed
beyond the sunset canyon
betrayal is a part of you
would’ve never assumed true

the things you do
send shooting stars askew

swallowed by cave mouth
spat out into sand mouth
quick your cowardice
turned you cold as ice

thought i was into you
but guess i was hit by a meteor
disguised as a sun, much dreamier
