Damsel saves the hero

....

Suddenly a gust of cold mountain air thrust against the knight in shining armor. He struggled, flapping his arms as he lost the battle against gravity, the weight of his shiny armor plunged him off the tree. It was the very tree he had chopped down just moments before to cross the chasm to rescue the princess. Falling swiftly, he soon submerged deep into the river below, with a thunderous splash. He sank quickly to the bottom of the river, with the weight of his armor pinning him down, completely knocked out from the impact. If not rescued himself, he will surely die trying to rescue the princess, in a most heroic way.

Within seconds, a second slash echoed out as the very princess in need of
rescue, dove in to rescue the knight in shining armor. All her years of
diving school had paid off this moment as she fought hard against the
currents to reach her would-be savior. With sharp rock in hand, she
severed the straps that held his armor to his drowning body. Within
moments, she was pushing off the stony riverbed with the armor-less
knight in her gentle, but strong arms. All was flowing smoothly until
the surface never appeared, and air was running thin.

When all the surroundings turned dark, a giant hand reached into the
churning water and plucked the knight out, with the princess hanging on
for dear life. She choked and gasped for air as the giant creature held
the knight up far enough to see the all-too-familiar face of the
princess. The princess regained her breath and spoke out quite nobly,
"Hello, Cicley."

The hideous female Cyclops grunted back in disgust at the princess, and
then shook the knight until the princess lost her grip and tumbled down
to the chasm's edge, momentarily knocking the wind out of her. Cicley
then gently placed the knight on his back and pushed down upon his
stomach with her finger, until he coughed out the water from his lungs
and drew in fresh air. Carrying the dazed knight down a large
passageway, she said with absolute delight, to no one in particular, "I
knew it work! Now I have a real man to keep me young and beautiful!"

The princess slowly regained her senses as she found herself alone and
abandoned. Anger washed through her as she realized exactly what had
taken place. She ripped off layers of her heavy, wet over-skirts,
leaving only her ruffled knickers to shelter her from the cold dampness
of the cavern. Then, with vengeance on her mind, she followed the
knight's trail of dripping water down the passageway.

Following the path for a short distance, she came upon a large opening, draped with various patchworks of red and white silks and satins. She peered
through the curtain to find the knight still dazed upon the Cyclops's
giant bed, barely moving, but still alive. Cicley was in front of a
wall of mirrors, preparing herself for her new man. As the Cyclops put
on her goats-blood lipstick and flour face powder, the princess made
her move.

She darted for the side of the bed, out of sight of the giant creature.
Shaking the wet knight vigorously, she pleaded in hushed tones, "Wake
up! We have to go! Please sir, you have to get moving!" The knight
stirred, rolling his eyes around the room, taking in the surroundings,
but not clearly enough to understand the gravity of the situation. The
princess shook him again, but it was too late.

....

....

The Cyclops smacked her blood stained lips together and turned just in time to find the princess pulling the knight off the large silk-covered bed.
With hands on her hips, Cicley asked with a gruff voice, "Where do you
think you're going with my new lover?"

The princess froze as she racked her brain for the most suitable answer.
Then with extreme bravery, she walked up to the legs of the Cyclops,
and faced her, knee-to-face, "What do you think you could possibly do
with such a doll-sized man as him?"

Cicley pondered on the princess' question for a time, and then replied quite frankly, "I can be pretty, and he can tell me I'm pretty!"

The princess pressed on, "If that is all you want, I can arrange to have a
man sent here for the sole purpose of flattering you. After all, we did
have a deal, even if you did forget some of the details."

The Cyclops stuck her vulgar green tongue out at the princess, and then
said, "I didn't forget, I just wanted this one for myself!" She started
getting worked up with her arms flailing as she paced in a circle,
"You've always said I was going to get a man of my own, but you kept
making me scare away, not just one, but all of them!"

With soothing tones, the princess argued her side, "You know that I had to test their true bravery. Anyone can say they would rescue me if I was
taken by a hideous creature, but not everyone would actually follow
through with the idea." She asked, "How would I know if he was truly
worthy of my father's kingdom?"

The Cyclops pouted and rebutted with a question of her own, "But what about me? I'm all dolled up, and would have no one here to tell me I'm pretty
if you take him away!"

The princess smiled as she brought in her ace card, "That one is easy! All
I have to do is keep my so-called rescue a secret so a new brave man
would come to seek me out. All you have to do is wait, and instead of
scaring him away, you can invite him in, and he will tell you how
pretty you are everyday, forever."

Cicley grinned with drool as the thought of having her own man played out in her head. She agreed with the princess and helped her get the knight
onto her horse as the princess waved good-bye and rode off into the
moonlight.

The princess smiled serenely as she patted the tight buttocks of her brave
knight without armor. She said to herself with great satisfaction, "I
knew my plan would work, for both Cicley and me. We both snagged us a
true brave hero."

Everyone lived happily ever after, after all.

Great story. Definitely a twist on the old damsel in distress tale. Keep it up.

I think this was a clever story. Very much a reversal of the classic roles. A few spelling errors here and there but I can live with it.

A+
