My eyes are black, my hair turns brown

and the sign on my back reads UGLY

 

The world is Glorious

This life is grand

The World Has, This Life Has, My Own Have

Taken so much from me

Because they believe I am UGLY

So their feet sit so far above me

I'm Not What I'm Not

But what I'll never be is Beautiful Like YOU

Atop a hill I think to Heaven

While the church lady's look down and scream to HELL

They think I'm nothing

I say yeah well

I listen and watch without expectation just experience

Yes I am undeserving, so unworthy, as I am just a man

About business, and ready for business

I'm owning and operating

Taking and controlling

Earning and holding all that is my own

Because I have a patent, It is the sign on my back, So You will Declare it

Squawking his mind is limited and feeble

But in the failing light I see

Before the sun knows it I work

In the glory that is an honest day
