Wordsmith
By: Lalli
I take letters and I bend them to my will
My words are forged with more fortitude than steel
I am a wordsmith
I’m a wordsmith equipped with an immensity of tools
Rules apply only featherweight to my defenses
As I relentlessly hammer towards the perfection of my craft
Then meticulously cut its shape with love and not wrath
I articulate the meaning of my intentions
And mold my expression into messages to be coherently digested
I’m a wordsmith sculpting sentences with the blue heat of my torch
With fabricated transitions held together by weld pools
Melted in conjunction with descriptors of emphasis and punctuation
Then brazed to accentuate an artistic finish
I’m a wordsmith with creative design assigned to assimilate an artillery line
Erecting a silo of weaponry from figures of speech
In a process called a meta-simi-ph-analogy
Catastrophically aimed with precision
Crushing the adversary of misinterpretation
I am a wordsmith
I’m a wordsmith skilled in the art of verbalization
Molding, bending, and cutting ideas into visions
With intellect and a heart intertwined the release of expression
Composes images to inspire the mind
They are the colorized muses behind the passion to why a wordsmith writes
