Candle Maker

Candle Maker

Candle Maker
(A true story)

He had experiences that would make any man miserable
But he still kept a cheery disposition
A lesser inquisition possessing abilities to get through large amounts of pain
So when the earth shakes he won’t break from being held together at the seams

It comes from hardships that were once endured
He was a prisoner of war
Forever bonded to every Jug head to exist
Brothers through bearing a cross for millions of other people
A man strong enough to conquer post traumatic stress and escape the grasp of death
Even though he was disfigured in a story that will never truthfully be told
Left with no belly button and a scar from his chest
Down to his pelvis from having his stomach split open by a land mine
But there is much more to him then his misfortune that has yet to be exposed

He is a poet
A genius with a lyrical twist making light in the darkness of his life
He is a comedian who fantasizes about stuttering midgets
Contagiously telling jokes with random precision
He is a humble soul
Because he is not shaped by his past
Instead he shapes his past into an asset that profits him
Morphing it into fragranced wax with a wick at the center
He is the candle maker who sits in serenity
His is a man who enjoys a soft breeze
As he stares endlessly into the night with jazzed beats trumpeting in midst of his thoughts
Relishing the moment
He dreams to consciously witness the entire evening
Savoring its peace
Since this man, appreciates everything
Understanding the harsh reality of our lives
He is never one to complain upon being judged by his appearance
Never one to feel resentment or spite from their misdirected scrutiny
Since he knows
They are not living, just existing
So for them he feels pity
Hoping that one day they will become alert to their wake up call
That one day they will understand what it means to truly live
What it means to be free and completely unrestricted
To be happily living in the now
Not the past and not the future
He dictates the power of his mind
Because he is fully aware that being in the present
Enlightens presence
Since once a person reaches consciousness there can be no problems here
It took him 50 years of bloody tears to realize that observing the minds control
Can cure the disease of its ego fueled negativity
Relieving the pain of what seemed to be a destined melancholy life
Transcended
Into a candle maker who sits in serenity
