Equality

Equality

A Poem by Lalli
"

we are nothing but human beings.. all of us!

"

Equality

Without the superficial of the materialistic

What are we?

If a rich man is stripped of his Gucci shoes
Louis Vutton wallet
Mercedes car
His millions of dollars in assets
And his equally extensive amounts of dollars
Buried in debt
It will be shown
That he is nothing but a human being
And that is his identity

Strip a bum of his filth
Along with card board sign asking for money
The grocery shopping cart holding what little he owns
Or his dirty never been washed clothes
You will find
He is a man
Naked and exposed

Solidifying the ideal that all men are created equal
2 hands, 2 feet, 2 eyes, and a brain to do the interpreting
Skin to cover
Diverse in color
And functioning organs communicating in unison
With muscles, tendon’s, and blood vessels
As the engine to keep our bodies moving

There of course are the differences in scars, complexion, and the proportionality of their figure
But that is the blessing of originality
Or else we’d be no different than freshly built robots
Off the manufacturing line
All with the same nuts n’ bolts, gears, buttons, switches, and circuitry
We would be unanimously stuck on the same mainstream line of thinking
Instead of disconnecting from the borg collective
By having a few people that think outside the box
Expressing their thoughts helping us to expand and advance
Since no 1 person is better than another
Others simply learn quicker and think deeper
Some are stronger and more athletic
But no talented ability is on a level
Above the rest
Each one has its own contribution to the continued evolution of man kind
Working together as one team
A team
That’s strong with no seam
No stitch
Held together by a bond
Equally flawless
Because they see each other at the same level
Eye to eye

This could not have been written more effective
and to encourage
to motivate-as your words do
with a sense of truth-a sense of conviction
to see that indeed
we are out bother's keeper
motivators spark change
And I feel like a better person
for having read this-Exquisite my friend

I really like this. You speak the truth. I think that you could possibly make this a little shorter and still portray the same effect. I like what you have to say though, good job!
