Change

A Poem by Lalli

Change

By: Lalli

I am a poet for change

Trying to rearrange point of views within our society
Trying to higher the standards of how we think about ourselves and others
In an attempt to turn these corrupted ideals
To dust
Ashes
Blowing away as a part of our past to be forgotten
Since we so easily tend to forget about the past
And how it’s shaped our everyday lives
Along with the people who’ve died
Trying to provide us with freedoms and luxuries
That were once dreams
Now, to be expected and no longer appreciated

I am a poet for change

Trying to escape
The focus of all this negativity
Engrained into our thoughts
Because its all we’ve been taught since we were children
Tossed into the witches cauldron
Concocting potions
Into the chemistry
of what we believe
Forced down our throats
In the beginning
As babies

I am a poet for change

Trying to stress the importance of loving your family
Unconditionally
You don’t have like you genetics
But they should be accepted
No matter how flawed or crazy the may be
Because your blood
Is your blood
And they may be all you have in the end

They can not be chosen
But to reject them
Only backfires
Inflicting loneliness

Yes, there are stories horrifically true
And I can’t blame you for not having anything to do with such people
But holding on to the anger of the past
Consumes a life with misery
In order to move on
That anger must be released through forgiveness

I am a poet for change

Trying to shine as light in a world of darkness
Illuminating
The unseen
Lingering
As a constant reminder
To take pleasure in the little things that surround us
Down to the refreshing feeling of cold water
Splashing upon our lips after a day of dehydration
Or the succulent taste of perfectly ripened honey dew
As it practically melts
In our mouth
Along with the Century old oak tree and the wisdom of its rings

We see what we want to see
I am trying to bring back the optimistic ideals of positivity

I am a poet for change
Trying each day to touch a life with my perspective insight
One heart at a time
And I pray to god
That today
My mission
Has made cause…
For change

love this piece, its poetically passionate, and delving draws the reader to a creative,
encouraged state of pondering, obe can feel the mission be accomplished through your
soulfully inspired words which speak to the masses, and should touch the heart of any reader
writer who has the opportunity to read this, vibrant, expressive, the pace keeps a
certain beat of rhythm, punctuated by the essence in nead, as you intently define the
title, "change" lalli, very nice job here, brilliantly conveyed, keep up the great work!

Nowadays people have all money can by, everything one can think of, but real true values there aren't many left if ever, and perhaps that's where all this negativity comes from.
This is a wonderful change inspiring piece
Should I tell which line was my favorite I couldn't tell for the whole poem is excellent each and every line and paragraph.
Absolutely stunning work! Kudos!

Love this Lalli! Yet again, you roll through with another great peice! One small note... I would change the grammar on the second line.... "Trying to heighten(or raise) the standards" Saying "trying to higher" sounds awkward and I kept going back to see if I was reading it right.

Nothing but love

Great write! It happens one word, one poem, one thought, action, deed at a time. One act of random kindness ... well you get where I'm going. Well done....

To strive for change is a worthy cause but all change is not for he better. As a society we have lost the real values which were prevalent in the past. You couch your fervent message in poetic prose which is seen today as poetry I am an old fashioned formalist who believes passiionatelt that there is a difference between prose and poetry I can appreciate well written pieces in any form but think we should maintain the differences

The unseen"

Lalli-surrendered as only a poets heart could.
The voice of awareness echoes through the halls
of the reader's thoughts
An all telling-revealing-acsending
ode to change
In way of sparking the fire
your passions burn from soul depths
beautifully done-brilliant

Peeps tend not to want to change
And without the past to know why
Not to understand why they were

So not to change is the trend
They may seek ideas to change
But will not change to anger

Negativity reigns
And any attempt
To change is met with resistance

It is good to seek change
Shine the light of the darkness
To again to pray to god

You have given inspiration
For change
To not forget the fallen troops

Although your words are beautiful, and enticing... I wonder.... Is it conceivable?
Words are never enough... it's action that must accompany those words. No
matter how profound. But your piece touched me, and that's why I'm here.
With you. Right now. You..........touched me.

Would it be quite alright if I admitted intimadation.
Your words are beautiful.
Change is difficult.
Change is needed.
The best thing to do is to speak.
The worst is to keep silient the things that you fear to change.
I believe in your mission and I hope to maybe be some help.
I hope all of your readers are as inspired as I'am.
Your words serve their purpous.
Keep speaking.
The world is listening.
