So Fresh, So CleanA Poem by LalliI believe this poem can help a lot of people and will speak for itself. Enjoy. So Fresh, So Clean By: Lalli Why do we hate with hearts like blackened lungs? Poisoned Where cultured differences confuse colored skin I feel the tension of your annoyance in your grinding teeth While a social class disconnect of judgment burns the air we
breathe Fueling intolerance- it’s hate we breed Media manipulation pulls the strings We dance We dance Effortlessly we dance While relentless rage passes through generations We keep fighting We must fight Unaware of our friendly-fire through intoxicated eyes Carelessly we spray aimless rounds until innocence is slain For what? And why? Our projections misplaced upon the faces of strangers Look close Reflect upon the mirrors of introspection to identify the residence
of your feeling’s origin It’s home is in need of upkeep Clean thoroughly against this infectious disease Broom cobwebs of ignorance and neglect from the corners Search the shadows; open the blinds exposing hates unseen
fester And when everything is finally clean Don’t be surprised when all you find is not the hate you
felt But the root of truth Once squandering Your inner-peace © 2016 LalliFeatured Review
