Adventureland

A Poem by Beth Elaina
"

Do you ever wish real life was more like the storybooks?

"

Sing me a song, O beautiful bird

Of all the interesting stories you’ve heard

I love to hear the tales you tell

Of forest glens where the faeries dwell

Whisper, O wind, of secrets you know

Surely you find them wherever you blow

Tell me of deeds nearly forgot

Speak of Atlantis and Camelot

Tell me, Grandfather, of days long gone

Tell me of battles and hearts that you’ve won

Tell me of men who lived and died

Defending freedom, honor, and pride

Tell me a story, sing me a song

Take me away to the place I belong

Take me to lands of which I’ve but read

Take me from here, where adventure is dead

Wow, that was the song the soul of an author sings everytime they put pen to paper. I don't know what else to say, it left me shivering. Nice job.
